    Vrge: Cassie Chechile

    Cassie Chechile

    PUBLIC AFFAIRS MANAGER

    Cassie Chechile is a Public Affairs Director for Vrge Strategies, managing the firm’s public affairs, and strategic communications efforts for clients. Cassie works to translate complicated client issues into digestible information for audiences inside and outside the beltway. She specialized in media relations and digital communications.

    Prior to her time at Vrge Strategies, Cassie worked in-house for a global government relations and law firm. While there, she was responsible for executing the firm’s external and internal publicity efforts, while raising awareness specifically for the firm’s data privacy and cybersecurity, international trade policy, government investigations, white-collar, and intellectual property groups.

    Prior to her time in-house, Cassie served as Communications Director for a Washington DC public affairs firm where she managed and implemented their press outreach, social media campaigns, grassroots organizing, and events for trade associations and corporations in the music, telecommunications, and defense industries.

    During her academic career, she interned for Congressman John L. Mica (R-FL), the Hogan for Governor campaign in 2014, and the Directorate of Human Rights at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France.

    Cassie graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History.

    For over seven years, Dan has developed research and content to help clients achieve a broad spectrum of goals and successes related to corporate positioning, thought leadership, business development, and opposition research. Dan has authored research papers, whitepapers, blogs, and other content for a wide variety of audiences including consumers, business customers, legislators, law enforcement, regulators, and more. His work has been featured in stories from The New York TimesCNBCWiredTIMEABC NewsBloombergThe EconomistMotherboard (VICE), Ars Technica and U.S. News & World Report to name a fewDan has extensive experience on blockchain issues, cybersecurity, and technology. He has built valuable relationships with industry media resulting in coverage in American Banker, Bloomberg, CNBC, Reuters and respected trade publications like CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph and The Block.

    Two decades working in the communications industry, including: work in local and network television, as a Capitol Hill Press Secretary, and with consumer advocacy groups. Adam’s pitches for Vrge’s cybersecurity and technology clients have led to stories on national television like ABC, CNN, and Fox News as well as in leading newspapers like The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times. He has also stepped in front of the camera to provide expertise for CNN, WNBC (New York), KTVU (San Francisco), and WTTG (Washington). Additionally, Adam served as the lead writer on research papers looking at the spread of Remote Access Trojans, the Dark Web, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

    Josh’s New York roots taught him to get to the point quickly and succinctly.

    Josh brings more than 20 years of journalism, internal and external communications strategy, and execution to his role at Vrge. Josh led engagements for a wide-range of clients – from venture-backed startups to publicly-traded multinationals – as a partner for 463 Communications.

    Josh focuses on providing his clients with ideas that are creative, implementable and impactful. Josh also learned the ropes from the inside, handling internal communications for America Online call center employees across 14 locations and three countries. In a previous life, he was an editor at two leading financial-services publishers. On weekends, you can find Josh hitting the golf course, or watching Notre Dame football with his wife, daughter and attack dog Gelato.

    Scott is a veteran communications strategist with two decades of experience on Capitol Hill, in Silicon Valley, and in the foreign affairs and regulatory arena. Scott has deep expertise helping disruptive companies tell their stories to investors, consumers and policymakers.  Scott has led dozens of engagements including with clients including Aura, NerdWallet, ChargePoint, Cisco, the National Spectrum Consortium, Lyft, Eventbrite, IDEMIA, TechNet, BlueLabs, C_TEC, Accenture, and Code for America. Prior to Vrge, Scott led public policy communications for Cisco where he worked on telecom, trade, trust, tax, and talent issues. Scott spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill, where he served as a senior advisor to Senator Dianne Feinstein, providing strategic communications service on a broad range of domestic and foreign policy issues.  He also led communications for Jerry Brown when he served as Attorney General of California.

    Kate develops and delivers impactful strategic communications campaigns to help Vrge clients achieve their business and policy goals. Kate has a proven track record of driving target audience engagement, providing day-to-day account management, and composing compelling stories that leverage data-driven insights. Kate has worked with clients in fintech, cybersecurity, government tech, and philanthropy. She has expertise in media relations, corporate communications, public affairs, and crisis management. Before Vrge, Kate worked at Finsbury Glover Hering, providing government relations support to clients across various industries, including education, energy, and sports. Kate started her career with the international communications team at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). She received a BA in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia.
